NATO EOD Demonstrations&Trials 2016


Colonel Dr. László Fazekas (HUN, A), Director of the NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine (MILMED COE) attended the NATO EOD Demonstrations & Trials on 6-7 September 2016 in Bratislava, Slovakia. This year the event was hosted and organized by the EOD Centre of Excellence in cooperation with the C-IED Centre of Excellence. At the conference COL Fazekas discussed potential fields of future cooperation with the Directors of the aforementioned COEs. Moreover, COL Fazekas had an opportunity to meet high ranking Slovakian officials including MoD State Secretary and Chief of Defence Staff and expressed gratitude to them about Slovakian decision joining the NATO MILMED COE.

COS US Joint Staff Surgeon visit

Adam Poling, Chief of Staff of US Joint Staff Suregon to the Visitor's Book of NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine (MILMED COE) when he paid a visit to the centre on 08 September 2016 in Budapest.

Change of Command Ceremony

 MG 0134 webOn 14 July 2016 the NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine (MILMED COE) organized its Change of Command Ceremony at the Hungarian Defence Forces Medical Centre in Budapest with a large number of distinguished guests, including the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Hungarian Ministry of Defence, Mr. Tamás Vargha who delivered the keynote speech. He highlighted that the Hungarian Ministry of Defence was proud that Budapest hosted the Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine and the Centre's outstanding experts had been working for the past 7 years to maintain the high level of NATO’s medical capabilities. "They do an excellent job. The professional competence, the development of the skills of course participants, and the success of the military medical exercise series organized by the Centre, called Vigorous Warrior, confirm that very well." - said Mr. Vargha.
